Yoga to Ease Anxiety & Stress

Learning to Connect with Your Inner Resource

is a gentle and accessible series of 4 classes designed to help you calm and relax your state of being.

This series – rooted in the yoga tradition and informed by recent research findings – is appropriate for people experiencing acute or chronic stress, anxiety, and/or difficulty with sleep. It is also appropriate for those feeling overwhelmed and in need of some R & R.

Over the course of 4 weeks, participants will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of mind-body practices that can help them to reduce anxiety and increase resilience to stress.

This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous yoga experience, who will benefit by:

  • Practicing gentle, rhythmic movements which help in dissipating nervous energy, as well as supported restorative yoga poses that facilitate deep rest, relaxation and the release of long-held tension.

  • Learning safe and effective breathing techniques that activate the parasympathetic nervous system, balance the stress response system, and help to regulate thoughts and emotions.

  • Learning simple centering techniques to use as you go about your daily life.

  • Learning Ayurveda diet & self-care recommendations that support health and help to establish self-connection.

  • Receiving guidance, encouragement and support to begin to integrate these practices into your daily life.

Meet Harriet Ross

Harriet’s love of Yoga developed 17yrs ago on her journey of recovery from illness. When she realized the effects were not just physical but permeated every aspect of Being she realized the study, practice and sharing these transformative teachings of Yoga was her life’s path and passion. Since then she has pursued certifications as a Yoga teacher in both Kripalu and Classical lineages and went on to become certified as a Yoga Therapist and as an Awakening Coach (a type of life coaching rooted in the Yoga tradition.) These teachings have deeply touched and transformed her life and continue to inspire her work with others.
Harriet’s passion is sharing what she has learned by mentoring people through illness and/or uncertainty to find the clarity and healing that comes from knowing one’s True Nature at the heart of Being.
Harriet teaches specialized workshops, teaches private 1:1 yoga therapy and does individual coaching.
