Welcome to Roots Yoga Studio! 
Roots Yoga welcomes people of all ages and abilities to come and explore the art of Yoga.  Our classes take place in a peaceful eco-friendly studio  and are taught by friendly, highly trained teachers with many years experience.  To suit individual needs, we offer styles of yoga from a range of different traditions,  including:  Hatha, Ashtanga/Vinyasa Flow,  Iyengar, Restorative, Yin, Meditation, Therapeutic Yoga, Yoga for Runners, Contemporary Pilates and Kids Yoga. Private instruction and workshops are also available.
At the Roots Yoga Studio in Toronto everything is "green". The floor is planked bamboo in the studio and natural cork in the reception area and change rooms.The walls are covered with low-emission paint and the electricity is neutralized by a zero-footprint offset program. The fabric used on the reception area seating is made of recycled material. We offer free usage of all non-toxic yoga-props.



Studio Guidelines and FAQs


  • Plan to arrive 10 minutes early so you can get settled and signed in.

  • Please remove your shoes at the front door and place in the cubbies provided.

  • Roots is a scent free space.  Please do not wear any perfume or strong scent as other people may have allergies or sensitivities.

  • Tuck cell phones away before entering the practice space. Ensure all electronic devices are switched to silent or off, not vibrate.

  • Advise the teacher of any injury, medical condition or limitations before the class starts.

  • Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Only water is permitted in the studio.

  • Keep voices low while in the studio, reception area and changerooms.

  • Pick up and put away props neatly that were used during the class.

  • Be considerate to your classmates by arriving on time for your class. If you arrive a few minutes late, wait for a discreet time to enter the room.  

  • In order to get maximum benefits from your practice, enjoy a full savasana. 

  • If you must leave early, exit the room BEFORE savasana (final relaxation) so you do not disturb others.

  • Select an appropriate class by reviewing our class descriptions or ask us for assistance. 

  • Yoga is not a competitive practice. Be gentle and compassionate towards yourself and your fellow students.

2.   There are many flexible pricing options to choose from.   You can purchase what you need after registering yourself online or when you arrive at the studio for class. 
As a new student be sure to take advantage of the  New Student Intro Offer:  30 days of unlimited drop-in classes for $50.  
It will give you plenty of time to try all of our different classes and teachers.  Note this is a a one time offer.  It is only available on your first paid visit to the studio and cannot be extended.
